20 on sex register are living in Larne
TWENTY convicted sex offenders live in the Larne area, it has been revealed this week.
Larne councillors received a presentation on Monday on the Public Protection Arrangements – a system set up by the Strategic Management Board with the aim of reducing the opportunity and inclination for sexual offenders to reoffend.
A spokesman said 17 on the register are in the low-risk category and the other three pose a medium risk of reoffending. It was said there are no high-risk offenders offenders currently living in the borough.
