200 homes in Cookstown without water

NI Water have confrimed that approximately 200 customers served by the Lough Fea Water Treatment Works may have suffered disruption to their water supply due to ongoing industrial action.

NI Water said they are using all resources at their disposal today in order to resolve this and anticipate that all customers should be back on supply later today.

Supplies have been restored to customers previously off supply in Fermanagh and South Tyrone

A spokesperson for NI Water said: “NI Water would like to advise customers in the Fermanagh and Tyrone area that all supplies have been restored.

“Those customers on higher ground and those affected by air locks in the system however, may experience a slight delay in their supply returning. We would encourage any customer still experiencing problems to ring our dedicated customer call centre on 08457 440088.

“NI Water would once again like to thank our customers for their continued patience whilst this problem was resolved. and would like to apologise for any inconvenience or distress this has caused.

NI Water remains on high alert with a Major Incident regime in place as a result of the industrial action being undertaken by trade unions.

“Resources available to NI Water, out of normal working hours, remain very limited and we will make every effort to minimise disruption to our services.”
