The current church was built in 1815, but the earliest record goes back to 1305 with the taxation of Pope Nicholas IV when the parish was valued at £36, a high valuation suggesting the parish was valued was large and prosperous.

A special service will take place on Mothering Sunday (March 15) when the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, will celebrate with the congregation. Wedding dress and Christmas tree festivals are planned.
