21-year-old killedafter being hit by car in Drumahoe

Police in Londonderry are appealing for witnesses after a 21-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Drumahoe in the early hours of Sunday (July 13).

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that Kieran Feeney was struck by a car close to the junction of the Drumahoe Road around 1.50am.

The Glenshane Road between Church Brae and Millbrook Park was closed for a time as a result of the fatality.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Glenshane Road early on Sunday morning and who saw a young man wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans walking along the footpath or road to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station in Antrim or the local police service at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101.
