3 sectarian incidents in Irish Street in a week
A gang of youths banged on the door of a house in Irish Street on Wednesday night (September 17) shouting sectarian abuse at the resident in what police say was the third such incident in the area in the space of a week.
Police are appealing for information about a criminal damage incident with sectarian overtones. The incident occurred at a house at Dennet Gardens.
Inspector Declan McGrath, the sector commander, said abusive sectarian remarks had also been shouted at the resident.

Hide Ad“This was the third incident in the area this week and we are asking for responsible people in the community to rally around their neighbours and use their influence to bring this abuse to an end.”
