30 jobs created as new pound shop opens in city centre

THIRTY jobs are being created with the opening of another pound shop in Londonderry. The local retail jobs are being created with the establishment of Poundworld’s first store in Londonderry. It officially opens on Friday (May 31).

The store is situated within the Richmond Shopping Centre.

Chris Edwards Junior, trading director at Poundworld, said: “We’re really delighted to be opening our store in Derry, creating 30 new jobs for the area.

“Busy shoppers can take advantage of our consistently great deals to lower the cost of their weekly shop.

“What’s more, with a store location that is conveniently situated in doors, shoppers needn’t let summer showers put them off coming out to find a bargain.
