30 people shot or assaulted by paramilitaries
THIRTY people were shot or assaulted by paramilitaries in Londonderry over the past two years.
Between January 2008 and December 2010 there were six paramilitary-style assaults and 24 paramilitary-style shootings in the Foyle District Command Unit area.
In Strabane there were five assaults and three shootings and in Limavady there was one assault during the same period.
There were 272 paramilitary attacks across Northern Ireland over the two years. The police released the information in response to a Freedom of Information request.
