Terror ride for school choir. A Sunday evening bus ride to a Christmas Carol service in Muff almost ended in tragedy for 40 pupils of Foyle and Londonderry College. The youngsters, all members of the school’s junior choir had been invited to sing at a service in a small Presbyterian Church in Muff. Oh their way to collect other members of the choir at Springtown, their bus came under attack from a stone-throwing mob of youths on Buncrana Road, just yards away from Pennyburn Chapel.

The car of the stranger spells danger! Since September of this year there have been 25 incidents in Londonderry of young girls and boys of an average age of seven being approached by strangers offering lifts. Those are the official figures, however, according to police the number of suspicious approaches may be smaller.
