300 per cent rise in road deaths prompts safety event

A 300 per cent rise in the number of people killed on the roads in Moyle is the backdrop to a road safety evening being held in Ballycastle on Tuesday March 30.

In 2008 there were two deaths on roads in the district but in 2009 the grim total rose to six.

Now Moyle District Policing Partnership in conjunction with the PSNI would like to invite young drivers to a road safety information which is themed on the popular tv show 'Top Gear'.
