300 seriousincident reports
Over 300 ‘serious adverse incidents’ were reported by the Western Trust (WHSCT) to the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) between the start of 2010 and the start of October.
And the number of SAIs reported has been rising. One hundred and two SAIs were reported last year, more than 29 in 2010, 28 in 2011, 36 in 2012 and 53 in 2013. There were 61 reports between January and October this year.
