32% of NIO staff are based in GB
THIRTY-TWO per cent of staff working at the Northern Ireland Office (NIO) weren’t based in a Northern Ireland office at the end of March this year, according to the Secretary of State Owen Paterson.
The NIO Minister advised that almost a third of staff were based in Great Britain.
He was asked by DUP MP Nigel Dodds what proportion of staff employed by the NIO were based in Northern Ireland.
Mr Paterson replied: “As at 31 March, the most recent date for which figures are available, 68 per cent of staff working in the Northern Ireland Office are based in Northern Ireland.”
