35,000 visit Magherafelt’s leisure centre

The number of people using Magherafelt’s Greenvale leisure centre is increasing.

And this trend appears likely to continue as many turn to exercise in an effort to get fit after the excesses of Christmas and New Year.

During November 35,000 visited the centre - a slight increase on the previous month - and there were 7,218 ‘live’ members, the local District Council heard.

Leisure chiefs will be hoping for a surge in demand over the next few weeks.
