Work soon on £1m ‘crescent’ - Work on the new crescent road linking the Dungiven and Limavady Roads on the outskirts of Londonderry is to commence within the next few weeks. The scheme will cost a total of £1,000,000. The work, which will be carried out by the contracting firm of Messrs. John McLean, Knockloughrim, will involve the construction of the new single carriageway with earth works for a future dual carriageway between Lisnagelvin and Caw.

West Banks’s call for Health Plan: An appeal for the complete involvement of all people in the campaign to secure adequate health facilities for the West Bank of the Foyle was issued at a meeting held in the Youth Centre at Brooke Park, Londonderry. “The meeting highlighted the complete lack of infrastructure.”
