425 children in state care
FOUR hundred and twenty five local children are currently in state care, according to the Health Minister Edwin Poots.
The number of children in care in the Western Trust has remained steadily at the 425 mark over the past five years.
This is one of the lowest rates in Northern Ireland. Only in the Southern Trust are there fewer children in state care (425).
