5k pupils referred to psychologists
OVER five thousand children were referred to Educational Psychologists in the Western Education and Library Board (WELB) over the past three years.
Education Minister John O’Dowd said the figures had been provided by the Chief Executive of WELB.
In 2009/10 the figure was 1,653; in 2010/11 it was 1,671; and in 2011/12 it was 1,738. The total figure was 5,062.
