90 drug dealers caught

NINETY drug dealers were found guilty of serious offences in Londonderry between 2002 and 2006.

Twenty-six drug dealers were caught and convicted of serious offences relating to the production, supply, possession with intent to supply and cultivating cannabis in 2006, the last year for which figures are currently available.

The Minister of Justice David Ford outlined the information in response to a question tabled at the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Beflast, Antrim and Ards all witnessed a greater number of convictions.
