

It is understood that the deceased was well known in the area through her work at local convenience store.
Local councillor, Stewart McDonald said the entire community was shocked to hear of the tragedy.

“Words cannot describe what her family and friends are going through - she was a wonderful woman and will be a great loss. The thoughts and prayers of everyone in the local community are with the family,” said the TUV representative who lives in the village.
Meanwhile, Jimm Allister, who also expressed his condolences, has called for action on the notorious stretch of road.
“The junction at Wood Green, where this collision happened, has been the scene of many collisions over the years, and some tangible action needs to be taken to address the dangers on this blackspot.

“Other known blackspots, such as the A1 in Newry, have seen measures put in place to tackle a similar problem, and I hope the authorities will look for ways to address the Wood Green junction.”
