'A Conservative Government key to economic recovery'

THE general election is a choice between maintaining and strengthening ties with the union or drifting away from it, Upper Bann candidate, Harry Hamilton, has said.

A Conservative government in Westminster, backed by the UUP, is the key to economic and social recovery in the United Kingdom he added.

He went on: “The next government faces big decisions and the Conservative and Unionists have got the right argument on the economy – that Labour’s jobs’ tax will kill the recovery. And we’ve got the big idea for the future of our country. Labour’s government has failed – it’s time to build the Big Society.”

In Mr Hamilton’s opinion, the last 13 years of Labour government have seen the worst boom and bust in UK history.

He added: “We need change so we can act now on debt to get the economy moving, get Britain working by boosting enterprise, make Britain the most family-friendly country in Europe, back the NHS, raise standards in schools and change politics.”
