A decade of top quality childcare provision at Willowbank

Willowbank Daycare Nursery in Larne celebrated its tenth anniversary with a children’s party last Thursday.

An invitation was extended to previous customers who were invited to join the fun day.

Willowbank Daycare Nursery, a purpose-built premises, is situated at Willowbank Business Park, in Millbrook, provides a facility for up to 40 children, from six weeks to 12-year-olds.

The service is available from 7.30 am with a drop-off and pick-up service available to selected schools in the Larne area.

An after-school club operates for children, from primary one to primary seven age with a homework room available for study. There are also opportunities for arts and crafts and outdoor play.

In addition, Willowbank can offer full-time care during school closures to assist working parents.

Willowbank provides a nursery room; toddler room and pre-school provision as well as after-school care. Currently, there are a few places available for children aged between two to three-years-old.

Fresh fruit is provided twice a day as well as hot lunches for those who are in attendance throughout the day. All food is made freshly on the premises. Willowbank has the top hygiene rating of five.

Proprietor Barbara McVeigh, formerly a registered childminder, is assisted by eight members of staff who are all fully-qualified. The daycare nursery is registered with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.

“Willowbank provides reasonably priced affordable childcare. Word of mouth has got us where we are today”, said Barbara.
