Vanessa Postle, Community Affairs Manager with the bank said: “We are proud to provide final year students - the leaders of tomorrow - with real, tangible skills that will be easily transferable upon graduation, greatly improving their employment prospects.

“We were extremely impressed with the standard of entries from students across Northern Ireland. We congratulate Danielle on winning one of just 20 places on this innovative skills academy, which will afford her with the opportunity to network with and learn from leading Northern Ireland’s business people. We believe that attendance at the Freedom Experience Academy will help each of the 20 students in their preparation to enter the job market.”

The Academy will give the 20 winning scholars straightforward skills to prepare them for the world of work. From social skills and suggestions on how to enhance their CV to insights into successful interview techniques and an evaluation of their own strengths and weaknesses.

An investment in excess of £20,000, the new Freedom Experience Scholarships initiative will also offer non-repayable grants of £1000 to each of the 20 winning undergraduates.
