A knockout fundraiser!

The money was raised by participants in the company’s very popular ‘White Collar Boxing’ event held at Kelly’s, Portrush back in November, and generously sponsored by Millsport Motorcycles Ballymoney.

A spokesperson for NI Live Events Ltd explained: “This is our second event of this kind in Kelly’s and, like the first one, we had a complete sell out.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kelly’s, all the sponsors, trainers, all of our White Collar Boxers and everyone else who was involved, because without them this event would not be possible. We are delighted all the participants raised so much for Mencap.

“The work they do in Northern Ireland is excellent and we will be working with them again in the near future.

“This is our second White Collar Boxing event on the North Coast and to date we have raised over £36,000 for charity. Although we have only just presented this cheque to Mencap, we are already working on future events as we hope to build and expand our brand.”

Danielle Hibbert, Area Fundraising Manager for Mencap in Northern Ireland said: “We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every boxer for the all their hard work, determination and unbelievable fundraising efforts for Mencap in Northern Ireland.

“We also have to extend a huge thank you to the amazing guys at NI Live Events for selecting us to be part of their world-class event. All the funds raised through the event will go directly towards the services we provide for people with a learning disability living here in Northern Ireland.”

Peter Wilson owner of Kellys Complex Portrush said: “We were delighted to host the second White Collar Boxing event ran by NI Live Events. The evening was a fantastic success and the amount raised for Mencap was great. We look forward to working with the 1st Class NI Live Events again in the near future.”
