A Level results: Wallace celebrate best ever year

Students in Upper Sixth in Wallace are celebrating the school's best ever A Level results with 92% of the grades were A*-C.

An impressive 33 students achieved 3 or more A*/A grades and the percentage of students who achieved 3 or more A*-C grades climbed to the mid 80s; the highest ever recorded in Wallace.

Hector Epanomeritakis and Jamie Lutton both achieved 4 A* grades.

Hector now takes his place in Clare College, Cambridge to read Medicine. Three students achieved 3 A*: Toby Kerr, Ellen Newell, Cameron Patterson and Rachel O’Connor and Thomas Storey both achieved an impressive 3A* and 1A grade.

At AS level too the students achieved a very high level with 19 students celebrating four straight A grades and a further 14 students celebrating three A grades.

Mrs O’Hare, Principal, thanked the staff and congratulated the young people on these excellent results.

She said: “The staff work tirelessly and with dedication to support our students. I should like to express my congratulations and best wishes to last year’s Upper Sixth.

“They have been a pleasure to teach and on behalf of all the staff I wish them every success and encourage them to keep in touch. We are proud of you all.”
