Eco Tots, based at the Valley Leisure Centre, was selected as a winner out of over 4,000 nominations and was subsequently visited by the Lidl Community Crew who joined the group for their recent family celebration fun day.

More than 60 people attended the event, which included a BBQ, a cookery demonstration, face painting and a reptile show.

“We are absolutely over the moon to have been selected as a Lidl Community Works winner,” said Margaret Connolly from Eco Tots. “Everyone had a great time at our celebration day and it was made all the better by Lidl Northern Ireland’s generous donation.

“We’re very excited at the new opportunities the money will enable us to avail of, such as a new greenhouse and further gardening experiences for disability groups and the elderly. We want to say a massive thank you to Lidl, their help has been immeasurable.”

Lidl Community Crew member Aoife Jackson said: “We were delighted to get to celebrate with Eco Tots. We hope Lidl’s donation will go a long for them and will enable them to continue all the great work they carry out for their local community.”
