A marathon effort for Cystic Fibrosis

AS a rugby player and goalkeeper on the local sports scene, Glenn Millar is no stranger to training.

However, more recently he can be seen pounding the roads in the Triangle area with his friend George McAuley as they prepare for the Dublin Marathon on October 25.

George and Glenn are running the gruelling 26 miles to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis, a cause very close to George’s heart.

George suffers from the illness and this has given him the drive and motivation to ensure he raises as much money as possible for this worthy cause.

In addition to their run in the Dublin Marathon, George has also organised a night in the Sperrin Club, Coleraine this Saturday (October 16).

Running from 8pm until late, the Cystic Fibrosis Charity Night will be a fun filled night. Music is by Lost Highway followed by a disco and admission is only 5.

With all proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis, it’s your opportunity to have a great night out and raise much needed funds at the same time.

If you would like to sponsor Glenn and George as they run the Dublin Marathon you should contact them on: 028 7032 6159

George would like to thank Groovez Fitness for the use of their equipment.
