A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Castlerock*HEADLINE TO G0 HERE

THE National Trust along with Quantum Theatre presents a brand new production of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ this Saturday (August 11) at Downhill.

The production has previously enjoyed a fantastic response from audiences all over the country.

Presented in Quantum’s inimitable style, it is fast paced, highly energetic and interlaced with live music, and of course being one of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies, it’s rip-roaringly funny!

Set on that most dangerous of nights when fairies are abroad and nothing is as it seems, four young, unsuspecting, lovers become entangled in their magical affray and soon no mortals are safe in those bewitched and bewitching woods outside Athens...

The performance will take place in the historic ruins of Downhill House, near Castlerock.

Although we wish we could, we can not guarantee great weather so our advice would be to dress for whatever conditions we may have on the day. Also do not be afraid to bring along your creature comforts – a cushion, blankets, picnics or a thermos of coffee!

Date: 11 August 2012 at 2pm. Tickets are priced at Adult £10, Child £5 and Family £25.

Toby Edwards, Site Manager National Trust at Downhill and Hezlett said: “I am really excited to be working on this, this is the second year we have had a Quantum Theatre performance at Downhill House.

“Last year’s sell out performance was a huge success and we are hoping this year’s will be just as good. It’s a unique adaptation and we are hopeful that families will come along for the day bring a picnic and enjoy the show!”
