A mix of legends, traditions & tales at The Braid

NAMED after the river that runs through Ballymena, the Braid weaves together history, arts and culture alongside contemporary conference, tourism and civic facilities on a site that has been for centuries the centre of local civic life.

From family activities to special interest events, there’s something for everyone and that is well illustrated by the forthcoming Easter Extravaganza!

There will be Easter fun and games for all the family on Saturday, April 23, from 12 noon to 4 pm in The Mid-Antrim Museum at The Braid - and admission will be free.

The amazing Armagh Rhymers will be holding performances through-out the afternoon and storyteller Liz Weir will be recounting tales of myths and legends linked to the ‘Legends in the Landscape’ exhibition.

There will be fun-packed workshops where children will have an opportunity to create puppets, have a go at egg-painting and do a spot of hunting for Easter eggs.
