A round-up of Ballycastle police news

Police arrested a 40 year-old-man on suspicion of drink driving following a report from a member of the public. The arrest was made in the Atlantic Avenue area of Ballycastle on the night of Monday, January 20th.

Also, Police believe that a wood burning stove was stolen after a burglary at a house overnight between Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st January. The stove was taken after the house on Cabragh Road, Bushmills was broken into.

In another incident, police received a report that a Husqvarna chain saw was stolen whilst the owner was working in a wooded area at Fairhead View on Wednesday, 22nd January.

Police are investigating reports of criminal damage to a Volkswagen car which happened between the evening of Thursday, 23rd January and the morning of Friday 24th January at Drumnagee Road, Dunseverick. Scrape marks made along both passenger side doors are being treated as malicious.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man from the Loughguile area on suspicion of criminal damage following entry to a house in the Stroanshesk area of Ballycastle. The man was arrested on the morning of Saturday, 25th January. Police enquiries are continuing.

Police received a report that the back windscreen of a car was smashed in the Carnmoon View area of Liscolman on Sunday 26th January. The damage is thought to have happened in the early hours of the morning.
