A round-up of police news in Ballycastle

Police in Moyle are seeking information on the following incidents:

Police have arrested a 46-year-old male on suspicion of assault on police, disorderly behaviour and resisting arrest at North Street, Ballycastle. The arrest was made at around 3:30pm on Monday, 18 November. Police enquiries into the matter are continuing.

In another incident, a car has been burnt out and graffiti sprayed on a house in the Woodland Court area of Bushmills on Tuesday 19 November. Police are appealing for information on and witnesses to the incident.

Police are also investigating a burglary in the Coast Road area of Cushendall sometime between the night of Tuesday 19 November and early hours of Wednesday 20 November.

It is thought that a flat screen television, a pay phone and two credit cards were stolen during the incident.

Police are appealing for information and asking that people contact them if they have been offered high value items in suspicious circumstances in the run up to Christmas.

Police have also received a report that a house in the Whitepark Road area of Ballycastle was broken into on Wednesday 20 November.

The house was found to have been ransacked but it is unclear what, if anything was stolen. Police enquiries are continuing.

A man was arrested for disorderly behaviour in the Fairhill Street area on Sunday 24 November. Police enquires are ongoing at present.

Ballycastle PSNI have also reported that a man was arrested and a quantity of class B drugs seized after a cyclist was stopped in the Moyle Road area on the night of Sunday, 24 November.
