A shining example of fundraising

A Ballymoney woman who took part in a half marathon walk in London earlier in the year has handed over a cheque for £4,120 to Cancer Research.

Pat Crossley and her daughter Adrienne completed the Shine Night half Marathon Walk for Cancer Research along with 170,000 other participants. Between them all, nearly £4 million was raised.

In total, the Shine Night walkers clocked up enough miles to walk around the world 13 times over!

Pat’s fantastic fundraiser was made all the more incredible as she was recovering from foot surgery earlier in the year. Pat was delighted to be amongst the top 5% of fundraisers in the British Isles for this event and is most grateful to all her friends both in North Antrim, and her former community in Lisburn and Hillsborough for their support
