A succesful end to a successful year for Curragh Young Farmers

CURRGAH YFC has ended a successful year with their annual parents and prize night.

Parents of members gathered at Maghera Primary School to watch their children perform and receive their prizes that they had achieved throughout the year.

With Mr Derek McKinney as guest speaker, the crowd had a good laugh as they listened to the stories he had to tell throughout his years in Curragh YFC.

Many of the members received prizes, not just at County level but at Northern Ireland level in a wide range of competitions, including William Bolton who was named Ulster Young Farmer of the Year at the annual Young Farmers Conference.

Curragh YFC was pleased to welcome their new committee members and wish them all the best in their future roles. Members are now preparing for another successful year when their doors open in September, but in the meantime members will be attending Sports nights, BBQs and trips away to support their club.

Curragh YFC’s annual Treasure Hunt is on Wednesday 5th June, the starting point is St Lurachs Church carpark, Maghera, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. The charge is £10 per car and refreshments will be provided afterwards. There is prize money to be won!
