“Many have had to battle the roads to the most remote rural locations during poor weather and this as is no easy task for these dedicated people but regardless they pushed on.

“I know many people who depend on this service and without it would struggle. From my own families experience I see the great work the carers do for my grandmother and when listening to others also receiving assistance everyone always talks about the smiles on their relatives face when the carers come into the house with a warm, friendly, positive attitude they say it’s like we have an addition to our family. These dedicated people become the daily visitors in many families lives regardless of what day it is even if the roads are full of ice and snow the service continues.”

He said they must be thanked for the great work they have been doing and continue to do for families across the district.
