AA meeting in Whitehead

A HELPING hand is being offered to local people who would like to stop drinking alcohol.

The Antrim Area Alcoholics Anonymous group is to hold an open public information meeting at Whitehead Community Centre on 24 September at 8.00pm.

Members will share their own experiences of living with a drinking problem and of their recovery through the AA programme, offering encouragement to anyone else who wants to recover from alcoholism.

As well as two speakers from AA, one from the Al-Anon fellowship for family and friends of alcoholics will also address the meeting.

People from all backgrounds are welcome to join the AA. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
