Accent is on style for Larne Koppites

And the official First Larne Olderfleet Liverpool FC Supporters’ Club wants more followers to join them at the famous stadium.

Welcoming Brendan Rodgers’ appointment as the start of “a new and exciting era”, the club added: “We as football supporters have long appreciated the open and attacking style of football that Brendan brought with him to Swansea FC, which is very similar to how Liverpool FC used to play, but which has been sadly missing for some time.”

The club, whose members are frequent attenders at Liverpool home games, added: “We understand that Brendan grew up in Carnlough worshipping Liverpool FC and are pleased that his appointment will strengthen the links between supporters in Northern Ireland and Liverpool FC. We strongly encourage all Liverpool supporters to rally behind our new manager and give him the backing he needs to help return the club to its rightful place at the top of the Premier League and European football.”
