Accused stole £30,000 court told
A man has appeared before Londonderry Magistrates Court accused of stealing £30,000.
Martin O’Brien (55), of Rossnagalliagh Park, was charged with theft between July 1, 2010 and May 31, 2013 and fraud by abuse of position and possessing a cash receipt for Orchard Care Homes Limited for use in fraud.
In court, O’Brien confirmed he was aware of the charges against him, but declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence on his own behalf.
He was released on bail to the Crown Court on February 9.
