Action Cancer launch NW200 sponsored walk

Action Cancer is the North West 200's nominated charity and this one year partnership will generate over 20,000 for the Northern Ireland charity and significantly raise the profile and understanding of male cancers in particular.

"We invite you to join us, on what always is a really fun and enjoyable event. The more people we have, the more money we can raise, so we would really appreciate your support," said Cathryn Gibson, Action Cancer Community, Appeals and Development Officer.

Action Cancer is Northern Ireland's leading cancer charity providing crucial lifesaving services to people living with cancer near you. The charity needs to raise 3.9 million in 2010 and all funds are spent in Northern Ireland.

The sponsored walk, on Sunday, May 9, takes you round all nine miles of the race circuit, starting and finishing at the NW200 Race Paddock.

All walkers are required to register from 10am at the Hospitality Marquee in the NW200 Race Paddock. The walk starts at 11am sharp. To take part please contact Action Cancer on 028 9080 3359 or email [email protected].
