Action Cancer needs you to volunteer at their shop

If you have three hours, four hours or more go along and find out how you can help your local cancer charity.

They need window dressers, counter staff, sales staff to help on the shop floor and back room staff to help sort and organise the donations of clothing, books and furniture.

If you can use a computer they need you too. They need help inputting data and sending emails/letters.

They are flexible so you can volunteer what hours you want when you want to, all they ask is that it’s regular and during open hours. You have nothing to lose and only new friends to gain.

If you are retired go along and put your experience to good use helping to help people in your local community. You will receive training and may receive out of pocket expenses if you have to travel by bus or have car parking charges.

Action Cancer provides a range of support services such as counselling, complementary therapy and their Listening Ear Service.

They also offer vital, life-saving services including digital breast screening services (40-49 and 70+), men’s MOT health checks, heath promotion and research.
