Action on Islandmagee odour ‘by Christmas’
Chemicals needed to tackle a bad smell at Ballystrudder will be in place by Christmas, NI Water has told Larne Borough Council.
The odour emanates from road gullies along Ballystrudder Road, said the water company, adding that this had not been anticipated when planning major investment in local waste treatment facilities recently.
The “dreadful” smell was reported to the council by Islandmagee representative John Mathews.
