Action plan for new area

BALLYMONEY Borough Council has nominated a Lisburn company, on behalf of the cluster Council, to provide a Community Safety strategy and action plan for the new Council area, in accordance with Council's specification and contract conditions.

During a recent Health and Environmental Services Committee meeting, members agreed that IMS (Integrated Marketing Solutions), 422 Lisburn Enterprise Centre, Ballinderry Road should be awarded the contract.

The report explained: “Further to Committee Minute HES356.11, quotations to undertake a strategic overview of the existing council areas and to develop a strategy and action plan for the new cluster council following the Review of Public Administration were invited. The closing date for tenders was Friday 19th February. Two quotations were received and opened by the Chairperson of Ballymoney Community Safety partnership together with the Community Safety Managers, Ballymoney, Coleraine, Limavady and Moyle.

“Evaluation of the tenders was carried out against the specification issued with the invitation to submit a quotation. Determination of the successful submission was based on quality and better value for money. The work is to be funded by the NIO Community Safety Unit.”

It was proposed by Cllr Malachy McCamphill and seconded by Alderman Harry Connolly.
