Classes will run for 10 weeks and start on Wednesday, January 20 at the Valley Leisure Centre and Thursday, January 21 at the Sixmile Leisure Centre. Dean Holmes, sport and play development officer with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council said: “The Club helps children develop through fun games and activities in a non-competitive environment. Each week children will focus on the abc’s of sport such as agility, balance, co-ordination, running, jumping, throwing, kicking, catching and striking skills.”

He added: “For kids to be involved in sport and physical activity, they need the right building blocks to feel confident in the activity they are doing.”

The classes run from 4pm-5.15pm in both leisure centres.
