Addict topping up with other drugs

A Lurgan woman on a heroin substitute programme was topping herself up with two other drugs, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Wednesday.

Elaine Campbell, Trasna Way, Lurgan, admitted possession of herbal cannabis and diazepam on June 19 last year.

For each offence she was sentenced to two months in prison, suspended for two years.

A defence barrister said Campbell obtained the diazepam online but her GP had changed her prescription and she was obtaining it legally.

She added her client was successfully dealing with her addiction to heroin.
