Jake O’Brien (20), Lurgantarry, Lurgan, pleaded guilty to receiving a yellow transformer, a claw hammer, a bag of nails and a drill mixer on September 18 last year.

The court heard that a burglary took place at a new build site and a number of tools were stolen.

Police went to the defendant’s property and found him in bed in one of the bedrooms. The items which were taken were valued at between £250 and £300 and were returned to their owner.

When arrested O’Brien said: “I’m saying nothing till I speak to my solicitor.”

The case was adjourned until June 24 so that a pre-sentence report could be prepared.
