A&E public hearing to be held in September

East Antrim residents are being invited to share their experiences of Antrim Area Hospital and other emergency departments at an upcoming public hearing.

The event, held by the NI Human Rights Commission as part of its inquiry into emergency healthcare, will take place in Ballymena in September, will give members of the public, healthcare staff and other interested parties the opportunity to tell their stories.

The Commission will be inviting people to give evidence at the hearing. Patients, family members, health care staff and representatives in the sector are encouraged to share their experiences by calling 0800 028 6066 or via www.nihrc.org/inquiry.

Phonelines are open 10am to 3pm and will close tomorrow (Friday). Evidence can also be submitted on the website until June 30. The venue and date will be published on the NIHRC website soon.
