Age Concern perpetual challenge

Entrants are being sought for the 2015 Age Concern Derry Gardening Competition, the winner of which will take home the Age Concern Derry Perpetual Challenge Cup.

The competition is open to all gardeners over the age of 60 living within City Council area. The competition is divided into sections with prizes for the best gardens, patio/enclosed yards, window boxes and vegetable plots. A

Points are awarded for maintenance, variety, colour and overall impression and the closing date for entries is Friday, July 24. Gardens will then be visited and judged by The City of Derry and District Horticulture Society.

Community groups and organisations can also enter gardens or community plots.
