Aggravated burglary - three arrests

Detectives in Ballymena have arrested a third man in relation to the aggravated burglary at a house in the Carniny Road area in the early hours of Thursday.

The 28-year-old man was arrested in the Cullybackey area.

It is believed that entry was gained to the house at around 1.30am on September 19.

The occupant’s black Audi A3 car VRM DRZ 2707 was taken and driven to the Broughshane area. The males involved are then thought to have returned to the house where they were disturbed by the owner at around 3am.

The male homeowner was struck with a metal object to the head sustaining injuries that required hospital treatment.

Detectives are continuing to appeal to anyone who has seen the Black Audi A3 car or knows of it’s whereabouts, or can identify where this photograph was taken to contact them them at CID in Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
