Aghadowey Scouts enjoy busy community week

1st Aghadowey Scout Group would like to thank all those who helped make their Community Week Project such a success. The group under took to clean up Tirkeeran Picnic Area in Garvagh.

The group undertook to clean up an unloved picnic area in Garvagh at Tirkeeran.

As a new scout group it was a great boost for all the leaders to have the support from the young people and their parents. The group wish to extend a special thank you to John Suttle from Coleraine B&Q who provided the timber, Brian Scott and Stuart Honeyford from Scott Paving, Groundwork’s and Landscaping, Adrian McQuillian, Michelle Knight McQuillan, Brian McAllister, Paul Jess and Coleraine Borough Council.

The group celebrated thier hard work by having a family fun night and picnic at Tirkeeran Picnic Area.

The young people have also been raising funds via sponsorship.
