AIB Group appoints Austin’s receiver
An administrative receiver has been appointed to a company associated with the oldest independent department store in the world, Austin’s.
According to a notice published in the Belfast Gazette the AIB Group (UK) Plc. appointed an administrative receiver to Austin and Co. Ltd. of The Diamond, Londonderry, on Wednesday.
According to media reports Seamus Keating of PKF-FPM accountants, has since sold the operational side of the business to allow trading to continue at the iconic Londonderry building.
