All aboard for the Wrightbus story in Cullybackey

CULLYBACKEY & District Historical Society invite you to join them this Thursday, March 21, for a talk by Mr Jack Kernohan on ‘The History of Wrightbus’ in the Dr John McKelvey Community Centre, Cullybackey at 8pm.

Guest speaker, Jack Kernohan, started working for Wrightbus (then known as Robert Wright and Son Limited) in 1955. During his time with Wrightbus he gradually progressed through the company, holding roles such as Workshop Foreman, Production Manager, Sales Manager and Sales director.

After fifty years with Wrightbus, in which time he witnessed many technological changes and the expansion of the company, Jack retired in 2005.

Since his retirement he has retained an interest in the company and it products and has 2010 wrote ‘The Wright Way: Reminiscences on 60 years of coachbuilding in Ballymena’ Admission for non-members is £2 and refreshments will be provided.
