All Nathan wants for Christmas is yule cards!

Daphney Scott posted on social media pleading with people to send cards to 11-year-old Nathan, who she describes as "card crazy".

Now she has been inundated with promises of cards in the run-up to the big day.

"His birthday and my birthday cards are still up two weeks later and he examines every one several times daily," said Daphney.

She explained that Nathan is a visual learner and "only God really knows the pleasure he gets from this and this is why I'm posting my plea."

Christmas is his favourite time of the year, but it can present challenges for those around him.

"He lives his life through picture schedules, social stories and Makaton support," Daphney went on.

"Nathan has limited speech but can proclaim his excitement when 'its Chrissiemass.'"

"He has developed a love for cards over these past few years, something we as a family receive little off....again a reason behind my plea.

"If you would consider sending him a wee card (with a nice picture), your reward will be posted here on Christmas eve for you to see how a gesture of goodwill made a very special wee boy smile the biggest smile.
