All Saints Scouts 'well prepared' to help Haiti

ALL Saints Parish, Ballymena, has shown true solidarity in their donation to the Haitian people.

A collection by the All Saint’s Scout group raised a huge 9,375 for the earthquake disaster appeal and this will be winging its way to Haitia via Trocaire.

Trcaire and its partners have acted quickly to supply thousands of people with emergency medical supplies, food, hygiene kits and clean water.

Trcaire is a member of Caritas Internationalis, the International Confederation of 162 Catholic relief agencies and the second largest humanitarian organisation in the world.

The speed and impact of their response to natural disasters ensures that those in most need are provided for as quickly as possible.

Trcaire’s support in Haiti will continue long after the relief efforts have ended due to the immense generosity of the general public.
