All set for start of Magherafelt’s Christmas market tonight

The final touches are being put to the Christmas market in Magherafelt town centre which gets underway later today.

Thousands are expected to flock to the event this weekend.

The annual speciality market features more than 35 food and drink traders including the Lough Neagh Fisherman’s Co-Op (Eels), Indian Nights Inn, and Papa J’s.

The organisers say visitors to the Christmas craft stalls “will be inspired, and amazed, by the variety, quality and originality of the hand-made craft products and gifts available.” The Christmas Lights switch-on takes place on Saturday at 7pm. It promises to be a captivating evening of festive fun, with the Cool FM Roadshow, prize giveaways, that will finish with the traditional, spectacular fireworks display.
